CITY HEAD
Balaji joined Ascendas India in 2001 and is currently Head of Chennai Operations. His previous appointments include, Vice
President and Head, Business Development of Ascendas India, and Head, Finance of Ascendas Chennai. Before joining
Ascendas, Balaji headed the fnance department of Avanti Kopp Ltd, an Indo-German switch manufacturing company. He
previously worked in the Hyderabad-based Lamtuf group, where he was involved in managing its funding requirements. Balaji
holds a Bachelor‘s Degree in Mathematics with Physics and Chemistry as ancillaries from the University of Madras. He has a
professional qualifcation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (“ICAI”) and is a fellow member of ICAI.

B Shekar
DEPUTY CITY HEAD
Shekar joined Ascendas in April 2006 and is currently Deputy City Head of Hyderabad Operations. Apart from his current role,
Shekar also oversees Ascendas’ Project Development function in India. Prior to Ascendas, Shekar was involved with Institute
for Development & Research in Banking Technology. He has over 18 years of experience in various real estate functions such
as project development and property management services. Shekar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and AMIE
(Mechanical Engineering) from Institute of Engineers, West Bengal.
