Ram Soundararajan
Head, Asset & Investment Management
Ram rejoined Ascendas in August 2012 and has more
than 12 years of experience in real estate investment,
asset management, fund management and real estate
investment banking in India and South East Asia. His last
position was with Ernst &Young where he was Associate
Director, Real Estate working on transactions in Singapore
and South East Asia. Before that, Ram was with GIC Real
Estate in Singapore responsible for investments and asset
management of GIC’s portfolio of direct and indirect assets
in India and global real estate funds. Ram was with Ascendas
from late 2005 to 2008 also as Investment Manager for
a-iTrust. Ram holds a Masters in Business Administration
Degree (Specialization in Finance) from the Bharatidasan
Institute of Management in India.
James Goh
Head, Investor Relations
James oversees the investor relations function for theTrust.
He has over 14 years of experience in the felds of investor
relations, analytical research, and strategic planning. He
has extensive experience in the real estate industry, having
worked in several leading property companies. Prior to
joining the Ascendas Group in 2011, he was a key member
of the investor relations team at Global Logistic Properties,
and the Head of Investor Relations and Research at Frasers
CentrepointTrust. James is a CFA charter holder and a
graduate of NanyangTechnological University with a Bachelor
of Accountancy (Honours) degree.
Mary de Souza
Joint Company Secretary
Mary joined Ascendas in 2005 and has more than 18
years of practice as a corporate and commercial lawyer.
Her experience was acquired during her appointment as
legal counsel with a government-linked technology group
and thereafter, while in practice in a local law frm based
in Singapore with several branches in the region. She has
worked with both local and foreign companies and has
acquired a broad-based understanding of the concerns and
needs of investors in Southeast Asia. As a result of her
regional exposure while in legal practice, she has been able
to acquire frst hand knowledge of the commercial, business,
cultural and operational issues encountered in doing
business outside Singapore. Mary currently heads Ascendas
Group’s Legal team. She holds an LL.B. (Hons) degree from
the National University of Singapore and is an advocate and
solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Edwin Kung
Joint Company Secretary
Edwin joined Ascendas in 2005. He has more than 17
years of legal work experience, working with both local
and foreign companies in real estate transactions and
mergers and acquisition in the region. Edwin is the Deputy
Head of Ascendas’ Group Legal and Corporate Secretarial
Department. He holds a LL.B. (Hons) degree from the
National University of Singapore, MSc (Information Studies)
degree from NanyangTechnological University, Singapore,
and an AdvanceTax Programme Certifcate from theTax
Academy of Singapore. He is also an advocate and solicitor
of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
