Notes to the fnancial statements

These notes form an integral part of and should be read in conjunction with the accompanying fnancial statements.
1. Corporate information
Ascendas Property Fund Trustee Pte. Ltd. (the “Company”) is a limited liability company, which is domiciled and
incorporated in Singapore. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary company of Ascendas Investment Pte Ltd which is incorporated
in Singapore and its ultimate holding entity is Jurong Town Corporation, a body incorporated by statute in Singapore. The
address of its registered offce and the principal place of business of the Company is 61 Science Park Road, #04-01, The
Galen, Singapore Science Park II, Singapore 117525.
The principal activities of the Company are those relating to investment advisor, property fund management and to act
as fund manager and trustee for Ascendas India Trust (“a-iTrust”), a business trust listed on the Singapore Exchange
Securities Trading Limited. Prior to its listing, a-iTrust was originally constituted as a private trust and known as Ascendas
India IT Parks Trust.
2. Significant accounting policies
2.1 Basis of preparation
The fnancial statements of the Company have been prepared in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting
Standards (“FRS”). The fnancial statements have been prepared on the historical cost basis except as disclosed in the
accounting policies below.
The preparation of fnancial statements in conformity with FRS requires management to exercise its judgement in the
process of applying the Company’s accounting policies. It also requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates
and assumptions. The areas involving a higher degree of judgement or complexity, or areas where assumptions and
estimates are signifcant to the fnancial statements, are disclosed in Note 3.
The fnancial statements are presented in Singapore Dollars and all values presented are rounded to the nearest thousand
($’000) as indicated.
